I used an online generator to pick a winner.
And the winner is…
p.s. Don’t be too bummed if you didn’t win this time, I will do more giveaways in the future!
Okay… I admit, I missed a week! Please forgive me!
I’m SO excited for all of you to see my newly designed website/blog. Yay for new changes! Because it is my birthday, I figured I’d do some of my own gift giving.
This renovation is a GIVEAWAY! Yep, all you have to do is
1. leave me a comment on this post, and
2. mention Mikka Hill Photography on your facebook status/twitter feed
Saturday, I will announce the winner! Sounds great, right?! I hope you enjoy this one!
Renovation: Framed Paintings to Twin Chalkboards
Purchased: $10 at a re-sale shop
(Forgive me for not posting this at the beginning of the week, TSU has been keeping me BUSY this semester!!!!)
RENOVATION: Hobby Lobby Vase with a fresh coat of paint
Purchased: I’m not sure… I bought it over 3 years ago!
RENOVATION: Full-Sized Bed w/Dresser
Purchased: Another find at my Nana’s house!
These before and after pictures were an after thought… I might have tried a little harder had I known it would be making an appearance on my blog!
Sadly, the pillows I bought cover up the unique shelves on the headboard… but I do like my candles! Thanks Wal-Mart!
Notice the black dresser…my mom and I did A LOT of sanding that day…
I hope you all enjoyed the post from Week 1. Mirror transformations are probably THE easiest renovations to do. I was able to complete both in one short evening!
This renovation wasn’t as easy but it is one of my favorites! My mom and I completed this together. It’s funny what we can do with fabric and a staple gun!
<p.s. I’m getting more and MORE excited about the big reveal coming March 1st!>
RENOVATION: Yellow Chair to a Chair with Elegance
Before… disgusting right?!
Don’t you just love a good before and after? I love renovating antique/vintage items and giving them new life! I think my creative side stems from my mom. When I was younger, she and my aunt were the Arts & Crafts teachers for the church’s VBS. I remember looking through the craft books to find the perfect activity. By the time I was finished, I had created a wonderful craft and a HUGE mess to go along with it. Sorry Mom…
Now that BJ and I are FINALLY living in the same house, I have had <and am still having> a blast renovating and decorating it to my liking. But the house isn’t the only thing receiving TLC… my business is undergoing some renovations as well! I can’t wait to show all of my AWESOME blog readers the changes!!! <Please excuse my love for CAPS> I have decided to reveal the changes exactly one month from today: March 1st!
Every week until the reveal, I will be posting items that have received “Mikka’s Touch” <oh my goodness! I had too… I’m officially a dork, HAHAHA> I hope you enjoy seeing the renovations I have done over the past few months. Let the countdown begin!
RENOVATION #1: Mirror to Chalkboard
If the renovated mirror looks familiar, you may have seen it here… Shout out to my awesome friend Ashley!
RENOVATION #2: Mirror to Improved Mirror(?)

You may have seen this mirror as well…
